In a village in Lahat, South Sumatra area, lived a teenager named Dapunta (18) that will soon graduate from high school and must decide for his future.

Dapunta mother (Bunda), really want Dapunta become a smart child, continue his education into college, but his father has a different opinion. His father wanted him, who known as "Pengejar Angin", the nickname for the fastest runner in the village, to become a leader of "bajing Loncat" in their village.

Until one day, Dapunta finally decided to follow his heart. He told his father that he had a dream. And for that, he had to school. He had to go to college. In any way.

Helped by Nyimas, first love, Pak Damar, a talanted young teacher who saw the unlimited potential of Dapunta, and also his best friend Husni, Dapunta began to reach his dream. Unfortunately it is not easy. Besides the fact that he was the son of a "Bajing Loncat" which then makes him hated by his schoolmates, he must also contend with Jusuf, his true rival.

Jusuf are equally intelligent and talented with Dapunta, from the beginning he is already hate Dapunta. He did not like the fact that there are others in the school who could match his intelligence. He also forcefully trying to make Dapunta's life become difficult. Not to mention, the principal is not sympathetic and did not care about the potential of students, makes his dreams has lots of obstacle.

However Dapunta does not give up. Especially Coach Ferdy, old friend of Pak Damar, a national athlete trainer from Jakarta, see the real talent of Dapunta. The young man with nicknamed "Pengejar Angin" was also eventually found another way to his dream. He could run, run and run for the sake of reaching his dream. Due to his outstanding talent, could bring it to wherever he wanted.

Pengejar Angin, is a cry of hope of all those who seem to be born far from the beautiful dream. This is a story of dreams and struggle for self discovery. This is a story about, how likely, the son of a "Bajing Loncat" can make a difference. For himself, his family and his country
